Sandvik’s appoints TESIM MAKINA KZ as new Kazakhstan distributor
The Construction Equipment Association (CEA) says it has sold out in record time its UKTI (UK Trade & Investment) supported pavilion at bauma Africa 2015.
A total of 16 UK companies will be in the pavilion in Hall 6 at Africa’s biggest international trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, and construction vehicles being staged 15-18 September at Johannesburg Expo Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The first bauma Africa, also staged at Johannesburg Expo Centre, in September 2013 attracted 754 exhibitors from 38 countries and 14,700 visitors from over 100 countries. The top ten visitor countries were South Africa, Mozambique, Germany, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Italy, Namibia, United Kingdom and India.
Joanna Oliver MBE, CEA director of global programmes, said: “South Africa is a market with a future which offers great potential for the construction machinery industry, and of great interest to the UK exhibitors. The African economy has tripled since 2000 and presents a significant opportunity across multiple sectors—with US$2.6 trillion of revenue expected by 2020 across resources, agriculture, consumer and infrastructure.”
Oliver added: “The CEA is delighted to be presenting the 2015 UK Pavilion with over 15 UK companies presenting their products. With the generous sponsorship of UKTI, we hope that this event will expose the UK companies exhibiting too many potential buyers, end users and partners. We look forward to welcoming visitors on the CEA stand – H6G44.”
